life so far here in NC
we have kind of settled in here...although there are boxes still everywhere, and we celebrated Samantha's birthday today (her birthday isn't for a few days but Chris has duty for a while) and we had a way fun day!
we went to a fun little place that is like a mile from our house and it has mini golf, go carts, bumper boats, batting cages, and an arcade. it was really fun to go and spend the day together!
at the end of our party the kids ended up with over 200 tokens, that you kept on a little credit card, and then you could trade them for toys and candy, so it was pretty awesome.
our A/C broke a couple of days ago, and we decided that it was cooler outside, so we ate popcicles on the porch.
Our Crazy Adventure...
So we have moved across the country, some 2000+ miles. and we drove both cars for 4 days. we got some really interesting looks as we all piled out, 2 adults, (one of them quite large by now) 3 small children, and 2 stupid dogs (who just wouldn't stay on a leash). Everytime someone asked what we were doing, we would tell them and they would laugh and say "good luck with that" seriously though, we had an amazing trip. the kids were all perfect angels the ENTIRE time, and we had alot of fun in the hotels along the way!
<--somewhere in Virginia...
<--this is what i saw alot of the time i looked over, Sammy or Adrie with thier head in the box of fish crackers
<--we stopped at alot of cool rest stops along I-70 but keeping the dogs contained was a challenge. funny thing is i am pretty sure they did not eat for the entire trip.
<--st. louis...my photographer is 5. and that was the scariest city i have ever driven through! People are crazy there!
<--kansas city, mo. our favorite place! our hotel had a water park attached to it and we had a blast that day!
<--the kids all took turns driving with dad in the truck, and i think that was the key. it was a special treat to have him all to yourself for the whole day!
<--in every hotel we had to get one of these carts and the kids thought it was the funnest ride ever. poor daddy had to push it though! and it didn't really fit into the elevators
<--the best part was that everyone slept all through the night every night, and we never had a single problem. amazing.
